Why I chose ‘Green Olive Tree’ as the name for my practice?
The olive tree has always inspired me. It is a strong tree that can survive even in tough conditions with little care. Yet, when it is given some attention (water, sunshine, pruning, and rich soil), it thrives. It grows strong branches, vibrant green leaves, and produces olives season after season. Its branches and leaves provide shade, fresh air, and a safe place for birds and animals to rest and nest.
For me, this reflects what it means to be human.
We can continue through life, even in difficult times. But with the right care, support, and space, we don’t just survive — we can truly thrive. We can create a life that feels more fulfilling and nourishing from the inside out. This isn’t about material success or external achievements, but about how we feel within ourselves and how we face life’s challenges.

The olive tree has long been a symbol of peace.
Across cultures, its branches have represented reconciliation, renewal, wisdom, and harmony.
In counselling, peace does not mean the absence of challenges. It means finding calm, balance, and a sense of steadiness within ourselves, even as life continues around us.
Just as the olive tree grows strong and steady through changing seasons, counselling can support us in developing resilience, self-understanding and a deeper sense of inner peace. It can help us grow stronger and make the changes we need, to live happier, more meaningful lives.
